Construction.
At North Sheds all of our buildings are fully tongue and grooved (T&G). Each piece of timber has a slot (the groove) cut all along the edge, and a thin, deep ridge (the tongue) on the opposite edge. This enables the timber to slot closely together, offering added protection to wear and tear as well as water prevention. T&G construction gives our buildings excellent stability even in the harshest weather conditions. The cladding is nailed onto a frame which enables the building to be delivered to your garden in sectional panels.

Timber Specifications.
All external wall cladding is 12mm, 4ths grade slow grown Scandinavian Redwood. All framing is 45mm x 35mm Spruce. Flooring is 16mm Scandinavian Redwood and the roof is constructed using 45mm x 35mm Spruce framing and 12mm Spruce V joint tongue and groove boards. Redwood is perfect for external cladding as cheaper whitewood tends to absorb water which within time will cause the cladding to rot.

Nails.
All nails used are galvanised ring shanks and all screws are zinc plated full thread. Using these nails and screws maximises their weather resistance, eliminates the chance of corrosion from them prolonging the life of the building.

Windows.
The position of the windows can be customised to where you would like them at no extra charge. The windows come standard as fixed or opening depending on the building choice and they are all made with toughened glass panes. You can choose to have more windows at an extra cost.

Treatment.
Included in the price your building will be Dip Treated and we recommed that you paint your building with spirit-based wood preservative upon installation and unnually thereafter. Failure to carry out the recommended instructions for protecting, sealing and installation of joinery products can impair their performance and may invalidate any garauntees. 

Delivery & Assembly.
All building prices include Delivery and Assembly.

Foundation Bases and Timber Bearers
There will be a milage surcharge of £2 for bases and bearers over a 20 mile radius from NE37 2PA.

Warranty.
All Sheds and Premium Summer Houses come with a 1 year warranty on materials and workmanship (Excluding paint finishes). Play Houses and Animal Housing come with a 1 year warranty on materials and workmanship (Excluding paint finishes).

Natural Timber.
Wood is a living natural material affected by environmental and climatic changes. This will enhance the beauty and individuality of your building over the years. North Sheds cannot accept liability for splits, shrinkage, expansion, warping, variations in colour and other natural imperfections that may result within time and caused by variations in weather conditions. In exposed areas it may be necassary to secure the building to the base to prevent wind damage or movement, North Sheds will not be held responsible.
